Jannuary 15. Creation of ENDESA Servicios. ENDESA acquires 3.64% of the equity capital of Repsol.

Jannuary 18. ENDESA sells 3.6% of the capital of Antena 3.

March 10. ENDESA launches bid for 32% of Enersis.

March 15. ENDESA culminates plan to reduce atmospheric gas emissions in its electrical plants.

March 23. ENDESA Foundation and Georgetown University in Washington create the Prince of Astrurias Chair.

March 23. ENDESA sells to BCH 7.8% of the capital of Cepsa.

March 30. Enersis's Shareholders' Meeting approves an increased degree of stock concentration - up to 65% of the equity capital.

April 8. ENDESA successfully completes its share expansion plan in Enersis through acquisition of 60%.

April 13. Enersis begins launches purchase bid for 34.7% of the stock of ENDESA Chile.

October 4. ENDESA acquires from Cableeuropa 10% of Cable y Televisión de Catalunya (Menta).

October 5. A consortium with ENDESA wins the bid for the startup and operation of an electrical pool in Poland.

October 29. ENDESA presents the Proyecto Génesis, a strategic plan to increase the profitability and value of its investments in Latin America.

November 11. ENDESA signs a contract for supplying electricity with Sonae, the first customer in the new liberalized Portuguese market.
