ENDESA carries out electricity production activities in Spain, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, France and Portugal; electricity distribution in Spain, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil and Morocco; and it supplies electricity and services in Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and various European wholesale markets.
The electricity companies controlled by ENDESA had a total installed capacity of 39,656 MW at the end of 2008, with annual generation of 149,830 GWh and total electricity sales of 172,788 GWh to 24.4 million customers.
It is present in Spain in the regulated market of natural gas with 397,224 customers and in deregulated market with more than 846,000 supply points.
It also has stakes in renewable and cogeneration energy facilities representing a combined capacity in service or under construction of 2,035 MW.
